Rooted in our communities
The workforce of the future
This generation are the workforce of the future, and we have a responsibility to help them into work: through visits, apprenticeships, work placements and mentoring.
Sanquhar Academy
Hot dog events celebrating pupils' achievements (2024 and 2025), Developing the Young Workforce visits, and a product designed by pupils for the coronation of King Charles III, turned into a recipe book raising money for charity.
Sanquhar Primary
In May 2025 the P3 class toured Brown Brothers, tried on the safety kit and made their own wraps in our kitchen.
Kelloholm Primary
In June 2023 the P7 class visited for their Business Enterprise topic. Their favourite part was the sandwich production line.
