Learn while you earn
Every new employee at Brown Brothers can gain a Food and Drink SVQ, in distribution, meat and poultry processing, or production and processing, with an assessor alongside, leading to an SQA certificate.
An accredited training centre
We're a fully accredited training centre for Food Hygiene, SVQs and CPC (the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence), with our own trained internal verifiers.
Room to grow
Many of our people started on the factory floor, on summer work or with no food industry experience at all, and now run teams and departments.

Production and butchery
Butchery, cooking, slicing, packing, low-risk and high-risk production, and despatch.
Engineering
Engineering apprenticeships, run with SECTT.
Technical and quality
Technical compliance, specifications, allergen and species control, and validation.
Product development
Development chefs and NPD teams creating new products with customers.
Logistics and drivers
Our own refrigerated fleets, cold stores and depots, with CPC training.
Office and support
Sales, HR, finance, design and marketing, import/export and group support.
